The Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) Program provides matching funds for collaborative research projects between companies and University System of Maryland faculty.

MIPS projects create results. More than 400 projects have been conducted; most have led to commercialization.

MIPS projects have contributed to the development of major patents and exciting new technologies, such including: Synagis, the 10th best-selling biotech drug in the world; DIRECWAY, the only consumer Internet satellite product available in the U.S.; a top-selling microwave filter for cellular base stations; and the first CAD system for the detection of early stage lung cancer.

Get the most out of your research dollars with MIPS matching funds.

MIPS will match 25 to 90 percent (up to $200,000) of University project costs. Companies of any size are encouraged to apply.

Connect with leading scientists and state-of-the-art facilities throughout the entire University system.

Maryland has some of the top researchers and facilities in the world. MIPS will connect you with the resources that best fit your company's needs—from any of the University System of Maryland's 13 institutions.
